I visited Narcissa earlier today to discuss the Board of Governors. Lucius isn't on it anymore; he was formally dismissed when he was sent to Azkaban.
I don't actually know how the Board of Governors is even appointed. Was it some department in the Ministry? Bill, do you know? They're largely Death Eater lackeys but not Death Eaters themselves -- a few might be on our side, or might join our side if they sense that's where the wind is blowing. I also don't know what constitutes a quorum, though who knows, maybe Linus Moon could tell us. (His father's on the Board.)
Also, this is a bit of a side issue, but at this point is there any reason to continue holding Lucius at Saltash or could we shove him and Narcissa through the Dover port and let their relatives in France worry about them from here on out? Could they do us any damage over there?
Anyway, Alice, I'm sorry, working out the situation with who the school formally considers its Head is going to take some time.

It was from a distance though, so I'm not sure.

Private Message to Draco

So it wasn't you who killed Desai, then?
Re: Private Message to Draco
And yes, it wasn't me. It was your mother. Which is good because I think if she hadn't--
Well, it wasn't looking good, if I'm honest.
And--

Re: Private Message to Draco
Anyway. I should go find something to do.
Private Message to Rachel, Remus and Mrs Longbottom
She saved Draco at one point. Nisha Desai had him nearly dead to rights, which he won't admit because--well, nevermind why, it's not important right now, he'll get better, I think--oh, but anyway, we were fighting Nisha Desai, as I said, and suddenly there was the green flash and she fell over. I guess Draco thought I'd done it but maybe it's because he couldn't see Narcissa from his angle.
She was there, she saved him. But, she also saved me, earlier, when I was on my way to find him. I met up with Ursula Avery, you see. And then Mrs Malfoy was there and they were talking and suddenly Mrs Avery wasn't standing anymore.
I don't think she wants anyone to know that, least of all Draco.
I don't know, though, it might help him or it might make things worse.Re: Private Message to Rachel, Remus and Mrs Longbottom
We can tell them we're releasing Lucius from Saltash and exiling them both to France as a reward for her heroism.
So long as it gets her out of our hair, I'm for it.
Re: Private Message to Rachel, Remus and Mrs Longbottom
I'm rather inclined to myself.
They'd be unable to do anything worthwhile against us from France, and we have enough people for Saltash to worry about at the moment.
As long as we've continued access to the Manor.
