I did explain that Kreacher's a vile little piece of filth, but I also explained about the two of us, so that he didn't piece together half-truths with Kreacher's comments and reach some horrifying alternative explanation. See above about Ravenclaws.

I'm a bit worried that if I leave them until morning, I'll forget what things like 'DU' and 'BOG' stand for.

Explained about us? That must have been an incredibly comfortable conversation for you. Now I really know why the cake took so long. Were there hand gestures and loads of throat-clearing?
