You mentioned that Neville's boggart has something to do with the two of you. It occurred to me this morning that this might be an issue for Evelyn, as well, and as a rising third year she'll likely be studying boggarts this year.

There's a boggart in Grimmauld -- none of us have got round to dealing with it yet. It's been lurking in a desk drawer in the drawing room. I expect I could capture it without too much difficulty and bring it by. While a boggarts lesson is not exactly a relaxing activity for a summer holiday, it would serve a couple of purposes -- first, it would give Evelyn a chance to see what her boggart is. It would give Neville the same opportunity -- if he's avoided boggart encounters, presumably while he knows what his fear is, he might not know the precise form they'd take.

I could also give them a lesson on dealing with them. It shouldn't be either of you that does this -- the fact that Neville's boggart is related to the two of you, and your boggarts might be related to Neville, that would complicate the whole thing immensely. Ideally, they'll both learn to recognise and deal with boggarts so quickly that no one nearby will even realise what it's turned into. But we can also observe and help them think of cover stories ('my greatest fear is that I'll grow up to be a traitor like my father, so I see myself as an adult being arrested by MLE,' say, when actually it's Frank he's seeing.)

What do you think?

I think that's a rather good idea, Remus.

At the very least, neither of them have actually faced a boggart. Neville's gotten out of it whenever it's come up at school, and Evelyn will be facing hers this upcoming term.

You're right, it's good to know how to deal with them at the very least, and how to think about explaining what it shows to other people might also help depending on what shows.

Perhaps Thursday. Will you be recovered enough from the full moon to bring it by then?

Would you be coming as yourself, then? You think that would be all right?

I can use polyjuice if you think it best.

Neville's seen me before, but for all he knows, I was polyjuiced that time.

I think since you're usually out and about as Mr Ponds, showing up as Remus might actually be better. Especially since as Remus you're a bit of a familiar face to Neville at least, from his first year at school.

They'll know not to ask where you've been since then, and you're right, they might assume you were disguised at the time. It's up to you, though.
