I think you've just answered your own questions. Arthur and Molly weren't an Animagus and werewolf, they didn't constantly have to alter their appearance at home to hide from the authorities, and they kept their activities in the Order secret by not mentioning them in front of the tots, as well as not inviting all the other fugitive members to holiday parties and meetings in their home.

No, I'm not thinking of keeping her prisoner here, not at all. If we did that, you'd have to come up with a story to tell the regulars. Of course 'She's getting too disruptive' is a perfectly fine excuse but people are accustomed to seeing her about at least some of the time.

I dislike the idea of Compulsion magic but it might be our best option. I'm sure Mother had a few books on the subject of Compulsion in Child-Rearing.

Ugh. That's horrible.

The Crouches used to talk about using charms like that on me to get me to be more useful when I was home. I think Mrs Crouch might even have tried it once, but she wasn't good at that sort of thing. That's why she wanted me to be more help, I suppose.

It's lucky the Grouch wasn't ever there when she thought of doing it. I'm sure he'd have been delighted to Imperius me to do whatever she wanted.

We might have to do something. The moment you two left she started fussing. I took a hard line but now I am apparently persona non grata as far as she is concerned.

Of course that may have its benefits. If she refuses to speak altogether, problem solved!
